Release dates through mid-2027
For Core sections (AUD, FAR, REG), the first column is when the AICPA receives your exam data file from Prometric, not your appointment date. The second is that cutoff's target release. The AICPA's score release schedule says all dates are subject to change.

July 13, 2027 is the last Core release on the current platform. Discipline sections have two windows before the switch.

What changes in July 2027
In July 2027 the CPA Exam moves to a new technology delivery platform with a new user interface. The AICPA says this requires an adjusted administration and score release schedule, which it has published for July 2027 through June 2028.
There's no testing from July 1 to 11, 2027, and both Core and Discipline testing restart on July 12. From then through June 2028, Core sections are offered in four testing windows instead of continuously, each with one target release date. That leaves gaps with no Core testing, such as December 16 to 31, 2027 and March 16 to 31, 2028.

Discipline sections still get one window a quarter. The first runs July 12 to August 12, 2027, and the other three fall in the first month of the quarter.

Planning your sections around the calendar
If you're aiming for a particular Core release before July 2027, don't sit right up against its cutoff. The cutoff applies to when the AICPA receives your exam data file, and a file that misses it moves to the next cutoff's target date.
Credit deadlines depend on your jurisdiction. The AICPA mentions a 30-month window and says some states allow up to three years, so check your state board's rules before you plan around a release date.
From July 12, 2027 through June 2028, a Core section has to fit inside one of the four published windows. Each window has one target release, so sitting early in it won't get you an earlier target date. The dates stop at June 2028 and can change, so check the AICPA's current schedule before you book.
