I run FreeFellow, which has 1,076 free FRM Part I questions and 1,242 Part II questions with original worked solutions. Samples are open without signup. The full original question bank is free with an account, subject to usage limits. Worked solutions, written lessons, mixed practice, and your readiness score stay free. GARP's practice exams and Part I curriculum come with registration rather than being public, and the Part II curriculum is a separate purchase.

GARP Learning holds the curriculum and the Part I practice exams (100 questions each). The Part II practice exams are 80-question PDFs in the candidate portal. GARP removes access to all of it on the last day of your exam window. The same GARP page links the learning objectives and study guide. Bionic Turtle, AnalystPrep and Kaplan Schweser offer limited free samples of their paid banks. The FRM practice overview shows both FreeFellow parts on one page.
How I'd use them
If you're starting Part I, the free Part I diagnostic gives you an instant readiness score with no signup. From there, work through the curriculum readings topic by topic against the learning objectives, and do FreeFellow questions on each topic as you finish it. Read the worked solution for every miss and every guess, and turn to a video when a reading doesn't land. An error log, or Fellow's topic analytics, tells you which topics to revisit.
Leave timed work for the last four to six weeks. Sit GARP's two practice exams under the real four-hour limit, two to three weeks apart, and do timed FreeFellow mixed sets in between. Free accounts have daily and weekly question limits, so spread your practice through the week.
Paid options and exam fees
The exam fees are the cost you can't avoid. GARP charges a one-time $400 enrollment fee with your first Part I registration, then $600 per part at early registration or $800 at standard registration. That comes to $1,600 to $2,000 across both parts, and Part II curriculum access on GARP Learning is an extra purchase on top.
Prep courses are optional. Bionic Turtle, AnalystPrep and Kaplan Schweser sell FRM packages with different access periods and coverage, and my FRM prep cost breakdown goes through them. FreeFellow's Fellow tier is $39 a month or $79 a quarter per track (check pricing for your track and country) and adds timed mock exams, spaced-repetition flashcards, topic analytics and a personalized study plan. The $199 annual plan is Fellow Plus, which adds common traps.
